Automatic Control Systems was formed in 1992 in Tunisia by Dr. Jamel Fakhfakh, a graduate of the University of Illinois in the United States of America. It specializes in providing services in industrial computers and automatic control of factory management in its various specializations.

The company's engineers also carried out studies to determine the needs of factories and production companies and to improve their productivity by using automated control. Automatic control systems engineers were also able to specialize in preparing specifications for industrial computer installations.

In year 2000, Automatic Control Systems began focusing on remote control systems using wireless radio communications and computer monitoring and control programs.

Automatic Control Systems has developed several skills in providing and installing electronic measuring equipment that can be connected to computers for the purpose of control and monitoring. Among these equipments we find devices that measure electricity, flow of liquids, and devices that measure height, pressure, temperature, and chemical concentrations.

To keep pace with scientific development in the field of digital video surveillance, Automatic Control Systems provides and focuses on the best and finest cameras, recording, and broadcasting machines via Internet.

Since 2019, Automatic Control Systems International won the bid for revamping the automation system of the Direct Reduction of Iron in the Libyan Iron & Steel company in Misrata for about 1.5 Million dollars which was completed successfully in 2022. Covid crisis had an impact on the progress of the project but at the end System800Xa was installed successfully.
